I met Annette, just one day in summer, through my cousin. She shared with me her passion of education and Catholicism. Her faith was strong. She was very inspirational. She gave me 7 shoeboxes of religious prayer cards and small trinkets which I shared with my Sunday School students and colleagues. I found out at the funeral that she had prayed with my family for 25 years and had brought communion to my beloved Aunt Rosie. I will never forget her generosity. May she have eternal peace with God. ----by: Maria Ortiz

I knew my spirit was with her while I said rosaries for her . She was an aquired taste and we had our moments, but she was the best formidable woman and she got the job done and our kids loved her and they learned fast, and had such a foundation from her. She gave them everything she had. That was her life. I had a very touching moment with her right before I left for Vermont and she gave me this incredible rock from Medugorje (which she snuck out of the country, very unlike her and me being the recipient of such an incredible gift has been a touch stone in my life )I touch it when I need guidance. I never knew what a force that she was, but she touched me even after we yelled at each other in the classroom about the kids having a little break in the middle of the day. Such a silly way for me to Enforce my parenthood. She just knew what she was doing. She was still a loud strong force. And so far the only one truly I appreciate. I look at my son and I know how valuable the days of Miss Annette are. They are gone and I hope another teacher in this world can find that special place inside of themselves that will touch our children the way that Miss Annette touched the cells of our children the way she did. It was unique, it was magic. It was otherworldly .She was magnificent and I know that nobody appreciated her like she deserved to be appreciated. I loved her. My children loved her, whether she was their teacher or not. There will never be another teacher like Miss Annette.

Thank you for making such a positive impact on our son Michael, his memories of you are a great legacy. You made a difference at a critical time.

Zia was a giving holy person. She would give everything she had to the less fortunate. Zia will be missed. We have an angel In heaven watching over us. Rest in peace zia

I met Annette in 1995 when my son started Pre-K. I worked with Annette for many years as her assistant. I love for the children and her religion made me realize this is what I wanted to do and become a teacher like her. She taught me many things and both my children had her and we share those wonderful memories, I will never forget her. ❤️ Marie Sidoti

I love Miss Annette, my children love Miss Annette. Not everyone loved Miss Annette. She's stood strong when it came to what was best for the children and for their understanding of their religion. And she taught it in a way that was so simple and perfect. she was spectacular and fabulous and believed in every single thing that she did. And she did it gloriously. She touched my family in a way that affects my children to this day. I think of her every single day of my life because she was purely and honestly devoted to God.

She was the most wonderful teacher and lover of children. She always fought for what was right even if not everyone agreed with her. We loved her. She gave us gifts that my 5 children remember to this day the littlest one learning Miss Annette's teachings from the older ones. She was special more special than anyone of us could ever understand.
