It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Immaculate Russo Castaldo, lovingly known as Margaret, on December 29, 2024. Born on March 21, 1942, to Christopher and Marie Russo, Immaculate grew up in a humble apartment on Mulberry Street in New York City’s Little Italy. She attended Transfiguration Elementary School and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School, both in Manhattan.

Immaculate was the beloved sister of Eddie and Ralph Russo, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a devoted mother to her four children: Michelle, Lisa, Anna, and Joseph. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her kindness, wisdom, and faith.

After 23 years of marriage, Immaculate embarked on a new chapter in her life, joining the NYPD as a staff analyst. She proudly served in this role until her retirement, bringing dedication and determination to her work.

Immaculate’s greatest joy was her family and the friendships she nurtured throughout her life. She was a woman of unwavering faith, and her love for God was evident in her actions and words. Her final message, “Stay close to God – all of you,” will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Immaculate’s life was a testament to humility, resilience, and love. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
