Obituary For Louis Michael Castelli

In Loving Memory of Louis Castelli
1932 – 2025

With heavy and broken hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, Louis Castelli, who left this world at the age of 92. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind a son, a daughter, and four cherished grandchildren who will carry his love and legacy forward.

Words cannot fully capture the profound impact our father had on our lives and the countless others who were fortunate to know him. He was a man of unwavering integrity, a true hero in every sense—steadfast in his love for his family, his country, and the students whose lives he touched over the years.

Louis proudly served in the United States Air Force and USAF Reserves for over twenty years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. His dedication to service did not end there. After his active-duty years, he found his second calling as an educator at Aviation High School, where he taught juniors in his electric shop class for more than two decades. His passion for shaping young minds and fostering the growth of his students was a testament to his selflessness and commitment to making the world a better place.

Beyond his service and teaching, Dad was the heart of our family—strong, compassionate, and endlessly devoted. We will forever cherish the memories of special family dinners, where laughter and love filled the room, creating moments that will live on in our hearts.

While we grieve the loss of our beloved father, we find comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with our mother, sharing eternity together as it was always meant to be.

Your devoted son and daughter

Dearest grandpa, I am having a hard time processing that you are no longer with us. While I wish that I could have had you in my life forever, I feel so blessed that I was able to have you for 29 years. I will always remember your goofy sense of humor and your calming presence during our conversations. The memories I have of you will last me a lifetime-my earliest memory being our little pizza picnics at my Little Tikes table in the backyard. Thank you for always being there for me throughout all the stages of my life. I will miss the essence of you terribly. I hope that heaven is filled with airplanes and sweet treats galore! Give grandma a hug for me. Love you always, Kathryn

I had Mr.Castelli in junior year I think (1974) and he was truly a dedicated teacher! I used to arrive before classes started (7am) and would find my way to his classroom and chat with him and other fellow shop teachers. I am one of six children and really needed the guidance of an older male. I am not disparaging my father , but, he worked 2 jobs to keep food on our table and pay the mortgage! Mr. Castelli treated me like an adult and always listened to whatever a 16 year old talks about. He truly was what his son wrote about in his obituary.
